Job Description Install, program, test, and service electronic security, fire alarm, and/or building automation systems on projects ranging from small to large in complexity. Responsibilities include system start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, customer training, and ongoing technical support. Work closely with project teams to execute installations, interpret blueprints and schematics, and ensure systems are operating effectively. Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards, timelines, and customer satisfaction. Skills and Requirements 3-5 years of hands-on experience with electronic security systems, fire alarm systems, and/or building automation systems Strong troubleshooting and programming experience with security or life safety systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (use of hand/tools, understanding of voltage, resistance, etc.) Experience installing, testing, and commissioning systems in the field Strong customer-facing communication skills and ability to provide training/support Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to job sites Experience in field service or systems integration environments Certifications in security or access control platforms (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, AMAG, Milestone, ONSSI, AXIS) Industry-specific licenses or product certifications Experience with system programming, graphics development, and advanced commissioning Prior experience mentoring or guiding junior technicians Exposure to project coordination or working alongside project managers
