Autocad Technician Requirements & Qualifications 3-5 years of drafting experience with projects utilizing AutoCAD Experience within Fire alarm or electrical/HVAC companies Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and codes Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and oral Ability to work 5 days onsite in Brooklyn, NY Autocad Technician Responsibilities Conduct site surveys to assess fire risk and building layouts Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to define project requirements Prepare detailed schematics and shop drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with codes and manufacturer requirements Develop submittals and material lists for fire alarm installations Communicate with local officials, engineers, and customers regarding fire safety designs Stay current with advancements in fire alarm technology and relevant regulations Support additional team initiatives and tasks as assigned Autocad Technician Benefits & Compensation Salary of 60-70K, depending on experience with CAD within fire alarm or electrical/HVAC Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage 401K Retirement Plan Supportive team environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
