(GS-0081-10) you will serve as Assistant Chief for Training responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive training program of a sufficient magnitude for all functional areas of the base Fire Protection Flight. Series and DoD Manual 6055.5. Employee is required to use all safety equipment and clothing provided by management. Ability to implement firefighting/emergency response plans, as well as manage and direct fire suppression personnel and equipment under stressful and dangerous conditions. Ability to plan, organize, direct functions, and to mentor, motive, appraise, and supervise the staff of an organizion. Ability to communice effectively, both orally and in writing. This position requires the employee to work under adverse environmental conditions and falls under the respirory protection program and hearing conservion program. The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An approprie, valid driver's license is required. Position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth. May be required to work the Fire Alarm and Communicions Center (FACC). May be required to participe on Hazardous Merials Teams (HAZMAT). May be required to perform duties associed with the operion of aircraft arresting barrier equipment. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

: Experience as an Assistant Chief of Training, plans, develops, implements, reviews, and evalues the comprehensive fire prevention training, safety, and hazardous merial handling programs the installion. Experience assessing the applicability of current program objectives and recommends changes when necessary. Experience being responsible for planning a comprehensive program of on-the-job and proficiency training for all fire protection and prevention personnel. Must have least 30 months experience, educion, or training in one or more of the following areas: (1) Controlling or extinguishing fires as a member of an organized military, industrial, volunteer, or governmental fire department or brigade. (2) Rescue operions. (3) Detection, reduction, or eliminion of potential fire hazards. (4) Operion of fire communicions equipment. (5) Controlling hazardous merials incidents. (6) Developing, implementing, or providing training in fire protection and prevention (7) Firefighting and fire prevention theory and techniques; (8) Fixed and mobile firefighting equipment operion. (9) Planning, directing, or carrying out fire protection and prevention programs and operions and/or (10) Performing emergency medical services.

Certified by the DoD Firefighter Certificion System as Airport Firefighter (Fire Officer III (includes Fire Officer I, II), Fire Instructor III (includes Fire Instructor I, II), Fire Inspector II (includes Fire Inspector I), HAZMAT Incident Commander (includes Hazm Awareness, Hazm Operions), Airport Fire Fighter (includes Firefighter I, II). Maximum Entry Age:
