The primary responsibility of this role is to install, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, interpret technical drawings accurately, and adhere strictly to safety regulations to ensure the successful completion of projects. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to safety-critical infrastructure while working in a dynamic construction environment. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine system layouts and installation procedures. Install sprinkler piping systems using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on existing sprinkler systems to ensure optimal operation. Utilize power tools safely and effectively during installation and repair work. Follow all construction workplace safety regulations, including OSHA standards and respiratory protection protocols. Perform manual handling and heavy lifting tasks safely while installing or repairing sprinkler components. Climb ladders, scaffolding, or elevated platforms as required for system installation or inspection. Implement proper safety measures during work activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Document work performed accurately and report any issues or discrepancies encountered on-site. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion. Skills Proficiency in reading blueprints, construction plans, and interpreting technical drawings related to sprinkler systems. Strong mechanical knowledge of piping, valves, fittings, and fire suppression equipment. Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA safety standards. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique. Knowledge of respiratory protection equipment usage during hazardous work activities. Experience working with power tools commonly used in sprinkler system installation. Ability to climb ladders or scaffolding safely at various heights. Understanding of implementation of safety regulations specific to fire suppression system installation.
