Sprinkler Fitter Job Description This field-based role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You will install, service, and inspect fire sprinkler systems throughout the Cincinnati tristate area, contributing to life-safety systems in a stable, recession-resistant industry. You will work with a close-knit, supportive team while benefiting from a steady flow of projects and opportunities to grow your career. Responsibilities Install, service, and inspect fire sprinkler systems in a variety of commercial and industrial settings across the Cincinnati tristate area. Install fire sprinkler systems including wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems according to specifications and applicable codes. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and system schematics to plan and execute installations accurately. Perform pipe cutting, threading, grooving, and fabrication to prepare piping for installation. Install valves, hangers, fittings, and devices to complete system layouts and ensure proper support and operation. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete installation and service tasks. Conduct system tests, including hydrostatic, flow, and acceptance tests, to verify system performance and compliance. Document work performed and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure projects stay on schedule. Travel between job sites throughout the tristate area using your own vehicle initially, and later a company vehicle when eligible. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and follow all safety procedures and guidelines on job sites and in the facility. Essential Skills 1-2 years of experience in sprinkler fitting or closely related fire protection pipefitting work. Hands-on experience installing fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and system schematics. Proficiency in pipe cutting, threading, grooving, and fabrication for fire sprinkler installations. Experience installing valves, hangers, fittings, and devices as part of complete sprinkler systems. Competent use of trade tools, including both hand tools and power tools, in a construction or field environment. Ability to perform system tests such as hydrostatic, flow, and acceptance testing according to required standards. Reliable personal transportation to travel to job sites throughout the tristate area. Clean driving record sufficient to qualify for use of a company vehicle. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a field-based construction or service role with multiple job sites. Familiarity with fire protection codes and standards related to sprinkler systems. Ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team and communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grove City, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
