Electrical Installer Advanced Worker Sharonville, OH Job Details Full-time $25 - $30 an hour 13 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Qualifications Project coordination Fire codes and regulations High school diploma or GED Driver's License Power tools Hand tools Electronic equipment testing Local electrical codes Full Job Description Electrician/Installer Fire suppression installs, services, and tests fire systems, monitoring panels, and suppression system controls. Key duties include reading blueprints, pulling wire, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with fire codes to ensure system functionality in commercial, industrial, or residential buildings. This is an entry level position requiring some of the skills and knowledge below but most importantly we need someone with electrical skills that is interested in learning fire alarm/suppression.
Key Responsibilities Installation & Wiring:
Install fire alarm control panels, smoke detectors, pull stations, strobe lights, and specialized suppression system actuators.
Inspection & Testing:
Conduct routine inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of systems to ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
Troubleshooting & Repair:
Diagnose and repair electrical issues, wiring faults, or faulty components in alarm/suppression systems.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of, and detailed reports on, all inspections, service, and installation work.
Project Coordination:
Read blueprints and schematics to plan and execute installations.
Customer Service:
Train clients on system operation and address concerns in a professional manner.
Qualifications and Requirements Education/Training:
High school diploma or equivalent, plus technical school training or apprenticeship.
Licensure/Certifications:
Valid driver's license (often with a good record); state of Ohio fire alarm technician license nice to have but not required, employer will sponsor future licensing.
Skills:
Strong understanding of electronics, electrical codes, and the ability to use hand/power tools and testing equipment.
Physical Ability:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or varied weather conditions.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
