Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of alarm systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and relevant codes to ensure compliance and safety. As an Alarm Technician, you will play a crucial role in protecting our clients' properties and ensuring their peace of mind. Duties Install, maintain, and repair various types of alarm systems, including fire alarms. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation and compliance with design specifications. Conduct construction inspections to verify that installations meet all applicable codes and standards. Utilize diagnostic tools such as voltmeters to troubleshoot system issues effectively. Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and provide tailored system design solutions. Perform regular maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal functionality. Document all service activities accurately in accordance with company policies. Stay updated on industry standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), to ensure compliance in all installations. Qualifications Proven experience in field service or as a service technician in the alarm or electrical industry. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components related to alarm installations. Familiarity with system design principles for alarm systems is preferred. Ability to detect issues quickly and implement effective solutions during installations or repairs. Experience with construction inspection processes is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
