In this role, you will be responsible for installing and repairing fire alarm systems across various commercial and industrial sites. Your expertise will ensure that fire detection systems operate flawlessly, providing vital safety measures for buildings and their occupants. An Oklahoma Fire Alarm license is strongly preferred for this position but not required. Honesty and trustworthy is a very strong must. We are based out of Stigler but mostly work around the Tulsa area. Responsibilities Install fire alarm systems according to blueprints, schematics, and system design specifications using hand tools and power tools. Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire alarm components, sensors, and control panels to ensure proper operation. Read and interpret technical drawings including schematics, CAD drawings, and construction plans related to fire alarm and sprinkler fitting systems. Perform system troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades on fire alarm equipment while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to ensure fire alarm systems are integrated seamlessly into building infrastructure. Document all service activities thoroughly in reports and logs; communicate effectively with clients regarding system status or issues. Maintain a high level of safety compliance by following industry regulations and best practices for low voltage electrical work. Skills Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and CAD software for system design and installation planning. Strong electrical experience with knowledge of low voltage wiring, sensors, alarms, and control panels. Hands-on experience with fire alarm systems, including installation, testing, maintenance, and repair. Familiarity with NFPA 72 and NEC standards governing electrical wiring and safety protocols for fire alarm systems. Ability to read technical schematics accurately and interpret system design documents effectively.
