Fire Life Safety Technician II Want to join a team that safeguards our customers' peace of mind with a professionally installed, maintained and monitored Fire Protection System? Do you want to do a job that save lives and protects property? As an AROCK Fire Life Safety Technician II you will represent a full service Fire Alarm service and installation company. We are currently seeking an experienced Technician to join our growing Oregon market. As an AROCK Fire Alarm Technician, you will be involved in the programming, start-up, and commissioning of fire alarm equipment that has been newly installed. Additionally, You will ensure that components are inspected, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the installation.
Responsibilities:
Commission systems, including loading software programs Participate in final inspection and testing Support customer acceptance and the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Assist with customer training on system operations Complete and submit routine written reports Document commissioning details; communicate deficiencies and progress Conduct testing and inspection of systems under maintenance agreement Respond to and complete system troubleshooting and repairs Run routine reports to review system operation Provide plans and fire safety system documents to engineering for as-built drawings. Identify code and non-conformance issues and make recommendations for system installation Quote small repair jobs, and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales personnel for large repair projects Plan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team Leader Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements Submit accurate time and expense logs Work overtime when needed Adhere to local, company, and OSHA safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred Experience in the installation and maintenance of fire safety products; 2+ years NICET Fire Alarm Certification Must possess a valid driver's license with limited violations Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States Must be able to pass a background check for sensitive and secure accounts.
Additional requirements:
WA Electrical 06 license/OR LEA License Ability to read and understand design and construction documents Ability to work in a variety of circumstances including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions Must be able to differentiate types/colors of wire Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) Must be able to create detailed reports and professional documentation Good verbal and written communication skills in English AROCK is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
