Role:

This job requires a person who remains professional, organized, detail and task oriented, as well as precise, thorough, and collaborative.

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain a wide range of security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and other security technologies.

Proficiently run and terminate low-voltage cabling, ensuring that all installations adhere to industry standards and best practices. Integrate and troubleshoot various security system components to ensure they function as a cohesive unit, offering clients a comprehensive security solution.

Configure and program security equipment, such as cameras, access control panels, and alarms, according to project specifications and customer requirements. Perform system tests and inspections to ensure the installed systems operate efficiently and meet quality standards. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all installation activities, including wiring diagrams, configuration settings, and project documentation.

Provide training and technical support to clients on system operation and functionality, addressing any concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards during installation projects to ensure a safe working environment.

Diagnose and resolve technical issues with security systems, ensuring minimal disruption to clients' operations.

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to coordinate and execute installation projects within specified timelines and budgets.

QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electronics or related field is preferred.

Lenel OnGuard Certification is required.5+ years proven experience in the installation and maintenance of security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.

Ability to program Lenel and Milestone systems is preferred.

Knowledge of low-voltage cabling, wiring, and termination techniques.

Familiarity with security equipment and software, including various hardware brands and manufacturers.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.

Security Clearances:

This position requires a Secret security clearance. The clearance requirements are determined by the agency(s) in which you are assigned. Convergint Federal will sponsor the level of clearance required. However, it will be your responsibility to obtain and maintain your required level of clearance.

Requirements United States Citizenship Active Driver's LicenseLenel OnGuard Certification is required.

Travel within the DMV area with occasional overnight travel. 

Additional InformationHourly Range:

$39/hour to $44/hour
