Job Description

MCA, your trusted advisor for wireless communications, data, and security, is seeking an experienced Security Technician in Dallas, TX/ Arlington, TX to support our fast-growing Security division. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Installing and servicing physical security systems/platforms, including CCTV, access control systems, intrusion detection, communications, and many other low-voltage systems.

Learning and contributing to technical and project teams.

Diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues.

Working as a valued team member and as an individual to deliver quality results to our customers.

Executing assigned projects and duties in a timely manner with quality results.

Working with trades and subcontractors assigned to projects.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum 1+ years of experience with the installation and service of enterprise-level physical security systems and platforms (Access Controls, CCTV, Intrusion / Burglar, etc.) Ability to do device installation, headend equipment, cabling, and able to connect to the network.

Basic comprehension of mechanical systems, digital circuits, and electrical systems. Basic understanding and ability to read and interpret building floor plans and diagrams. Ability to use basic hand and power tools and learn and use test equipment. Can troubleshoot basic issues across various enterprise-level systems. Ability to obtain appropriate licensure.

A two-year degree in Electronics, IT, or applicable subject, desired. Proficient with enterprise-level security systems installation, programming, and troubleshooting, desired.

Training/certifications associated with manufacturers security systems and networks, desired.
OSHA 10/30
certification, desired.
YOUR ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical environment requires the employee to work inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; utilize personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially hazardous materials, lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; be able to handle semi-frequent stressful conditions (cardiovascular), frequently work in outdoor weather conditions, frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally ascend/descend a ladder, operate a motor vehicle, frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed. On-call for critical systems maintenance may be required. First shift hours Monday Friday, with occasional 2nd or 3rd shift and weekends depending on project schedules.
