Job Description

Summary:
Life Safety Systems Designer responsible for creating 2D/3D design deliverables and BIM models for fire alarm, detection, and security systems. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of AutoCAD experience Systems design experience with: Fire alarm systems Voice evacuation systems Gas detection systems VESDA systems Access control systems CCTV systems Preferred Skills Revit or Revit MEP experience 3-5 years of life safety systems design experience Knowledge of
IFC, IBC, NFPA 70
(NEC), NFPA 101, and NFPA 72 Familiarity with fire and life safety manufacturers' equipment Industrial facility design experience Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) or similar drafting certification Job Responsibilities Deliver life safety design packages in coordination with multi-discipline engineers and design leads Use AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create and maintain coordinated 3D BIM models Develop layouts and drawings for fire alarm detection systems Develop layouts and drawings for HPM leak detection systems Develop layouts and drawings for toxic gas management systems Develop layouts and drawings for security and intrusion detection systems
