AFS is looking for a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician for immediate opportunities in Austin, TX. If you have experience with installing, servicing, and fire sprinkler systems including wet and dry systems then apply now. What you'll do (day to day) Servicing of Fire Protection Systems, tenant improvements, aid in testing and inspections Achieve any tasks necessary to complete work on a given job site in a timely, effective manner. Read project drawings for correct installation. If necessary, work after hours or weekends. Protect and maintain company equipment. Work safely as outlined by the company or contractor's safety procedures. On-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of our customer's Fire Protection Systems. Identifying code and non-conformance issues. Any other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience 5+ years' experience in trade servicing water-based fire sprinkler systems A commercial and residential sprinkler systems background or a basic level of comfort and knowledge with pipe fitting, electrical work, and commercial sprinkler system fittings. Candidates must be able to set up and troubleshoot multiple dry and pre-action valves. Candidates must be able to reset and calibrate hi/lo air devices. Candidates must have experience working on and troubleshooting fire pumps. Knowledge of working with technology using an iPad with Service Trade software. Ability to run a power machine. Must pass a drug screen and a background check. Candidates must have a valid Texas driver's license. Candidates must be local to the Austin area. Candidates must have recent experience.
