Qualified candidates will have experience with access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, and structured cabling systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and system diagrams Install cable pathways, supports, and structured cabling systems, including Category 6 and Category 6A cabling Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling and associated hardware Mount, wire, configure, and troubleshoot access control devices, intrusion detection systems, CCTV cameras, and related equipment Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and documentation Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Collaborate with project teams to complete installations efficiently and on schedule Utilize computer-based software and applications for documentation, programming, and reporting Qualifications 10+ years of experience installing electronic security systems Current Texas Electronic Access Control Device Installer License Experience with access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems Working knowledge of structured cabling and low-voltage installation practices Ability to read construction drawings and wiring diagrams Basic computer proficiency for documentation and system configuration Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to travel throughout the Austin area as required Experience with one or more of the following platforms: Genetec Open Options Bosch Similar enterprise security platforms Preferred Qualifications Industry certifications such as
CSSI, BICSI, OSHA
