Overview Sterling Personnel Inc. Is looking for an
Industrial Fire Alarm Technician:
In this role you will Perform inspection, service, repairs and/or installation of fire detection & suppression systems & hand portables at industrial sites such as commercial building/facilities and plants as instructed by the Industrial Manger(s) and/or Industrial Project Manager(s) per the guidelines specifications / regulations of the distributors, manufactures, and/or regulatory agencies.

PM Pay :
$32- $36 Job duties: Performs multi-task functions under limited time constraints in a safe, ethical, cost-efficient, and professional manner. Reports to work on time as directed by Industrial managers, project managers, on-call personnel, or other supervisors based on workload, site schedules, and customer requests. Maintains a neat and professional appearance at all times, including proper uniform and required safety gear; follows personal grooming and safety standards to avoid hazards. Conducts self in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner; promotes positive working relationships and supports a cooperative workplace culture; reports issues promptly. Attends required safety and QA training sessions as scheduled; follows all company, customer, vendor, and regulatory safety rules; reports hazards and suggests safety improvements. Complies fully with all safety and quality assurance policies; takes responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others; follows all site-specific rules and warning signs. Reports any driving impairments or changes in driving status immediately; maintains required insurance if applicable; does not use a cell phone while operating company vehicles. Completes all required paperwork accurately, neatly, and on time (including reports, work orders, inspection forms, delivery tickets, and maintenance records). Learns and performs assigned tasks under supervision; follows proper procedures for system operations, inspections, paperwork, and customer interaction; works toward service ticket goals. Trains and instructs helpers and junior technicians on proper procedures, safety practices, system operations, and documentation requirements. Maintains organized vehicle inventory; loads/unloads materials and ensures vehicle is properly stocked with tools, parts, and equipment before job assignments. Performs inspections, service, repairs, and installation of fire suppression systems, portable extinguishers, and hood systems safely and efficiently. Assists with verifying inbound and outbound shipments and ensuring accuracy of equipment and parts inventories. Participates in training schools and manufacturer/regulatory training; studies manuals and applicable regulations. Travels as required (domestic or international) using various transportation methods to complete job assignments. Reports maintenance issues and facility repair needs; performs minor repairs when necessary. Drives company vehicles for deliveries, pickups, and job-related transport; assists with loading and securing materials. Assists in the shop when needed to meet deadlines and operational requirements. Cross-trains in other roles as required and assists in training replacement personnel when needed. Maintains "on-call" availability at all times; ensures communication devices are functional; responds to calls within 15 minutes. Performs additional reasonable duties as assigned by management or other departments to support company objectives. • Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; trade school or specialized training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and understand basic instructions and write simple correspondence. Basic arithmetic skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and calculating percentages. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
Licensing:
Valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations in five years. Must remain insurable and maintain a "Preferred" driving rating (zero violation points over the past three years). Maintains all required licenses and certifications (State fire systems licenses, CDL with Hazmat endorsement if applicable, TWIC) Adequate hearing and vision for safety and operational awareness • Working in extremely tight, confined spaces #therapy2
Pay:
