About the Role This role reports to the onsite Lead Sprinkler Supervisor and is located in Dallas, TX. AFS is looking for Fire Sprinkler Helper for immediate opportunities for the Service Department. The preferred candidate should be self-motivated and can complete fire protection apprenticeship projects. What you'll do (day to day) Under the supervision and direction of a Lead Fire Sprinkler Technician Assist with installation/repair of water-based fire sprinkler systems, including start up through final testing. Follow verbal and written instructions, read and understand construction designs and diagrams. Must be able to lift 50 pounds of equipment. Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Perform duties in accordance with the company's safety policy. Perform other duties as requested. Required Education and Experience Applicable experience in either the fire sprinkler or the commercial construction business, and willingness to learn. Candidates must pass a drug screen. Clean DMV record and Texas driver's license. Have a professional attitude. Candidates must be able to show proof of work eligibility. High School diploma or equivalent. Aptitude for learning a career in the fire sprinkler industry. Self-Starter. Resident of the local Dallas area. Normal work hours are Monday - Friday from 7:00AM - 4:00PM. Why join us?
