$35-$52/hr (Based on Experience) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Lead Security Technician to oversee and support the installation of electronic security systems across commercial and enterprise environments. This role requires a hands-on leader who can guide crews, ensure quality installations, and work directly with access control, surveillance, and security infrastructure. Projects include healthcare facilities, education campuses, data centers, and large commercial environments . Scope of Work Lead and supervise teams performing access control and security system installations Install and configure door hardware including: Magnetic locks (mag locks) Electric strikes Keypads and card readers Door contacts and request-to-exit devices Install, wire, and support access control panels and systems Run, terminate, and troubleshoot low voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, security cabling) Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and system schematics Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and quality control Coordinate with project managers, clients, and field teams Ensure all work meets code, safety, and project standards Preferred Systems & Experience Experience with one or more of the following platforms is highly preferred: Lenel (OnGuard) Gallagher Brivo Bosch Software House (C CURE) Honeywell Requirements Proven experience leading teams on electronic security system installations Strong background in access control hardware and systems Ability to work independently and manage crews in the field Experience in commercial or enterprise environments (healthcare, education, data centers, etc.) Reliable transportation Willingness to travel as needed Ability to pass a background check Work Environment Commercial and enterprise job sites Active construction and retrofit environments Travel-based role with varying project locations Why This Role Opportunity to work on high-profile security installations Leadership role with strong growth potential Consistent full-time schedule with competitive pay This is an ideal opportunity for a technician ready to step into or continue in a leadership role while working on advanced access control and security system installations . #tekone
