Job Summary The Fire Suppression Technician at REAL Network Services is responsible for the inspection, testing, installation, maintenance, and repair of fire suppression systems throughout Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport facilities. This role ensures all fire protection systems remain compliant with applicable codes, safety standards, and airport operational requirements while supporting a safe environment for passengers, employees, and airport operations. Key Responsibilities Inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire suppression systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, and clean agent systems Perform routine inspections of sprinkler systems, valves, pumps, standpipes, and associated fire protection equipment Troubleshoot and diagnose deficiencies in fire suppression systems and implement corrective actions Install, modify, and replace fire suppression components as required Conduct system testing and document results in accordance with NFPA standards and airport regulations Respond to service calls, system impairments, and emergency situations in a timely manner Maintain accurate inspection reports, service records, and compliance documentation Coordinate with airport personnel, contractors, and regulatory agencies during inspections and maintenance activities Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and DFW Airport requirements Support preventative maintenance programs and recommend system improvements when necessary Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications preferred 1-3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler, fire suppression, or fire protection systems Knowledge of NFPA codes, fire suppression equipment, and inspection procedures Experience troubleshooting and repairing sprinkler and fire suppression systems Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Familiarity with hand tools, testing equipment, and maintenance practices Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills Ability to obtain and maintain required airport security clearance and access credentials Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments and respond to after-hours service calls as needed
