The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with access control systems, security cameras, and related security technologies. What You'll Do Install, configure, and maintain access control systems (card readers, keypads, biometric systems) Install and troubleshoot security cameras and surveillance systems Perform routine maintenance and repairs on security equipment Troubleshoot networked security devices and software Collaborate with clients to ensure security systems meet operational needs and compliance standards Maintain accurate records of work performed, system configurations, and maintenance Required Skills & Experience Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with access control systems Strong understanding of security hardware and software integration Experience with: Card readers (Proximity, Smart Cards, Biometric) Electronic locks and door controllers CCTV and IP camera systems Alarm systems and sensors Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex security systems Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, switches) is a plus Ability to work independently or as part of a team on commercial, industrial, and data center sites Qualifications Proven experience with installation and maintenance of access control systems Familiarity with BICSI, EIA/TIA, or NEC standards is a plus Valid Driver's License required Willingness to travel to multiple project sites Work Environment Commercial, industrial, and data center job sites Travel required for project assignments Hands-on, technical fieldwork with exposure to security and network systems
