Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Security Camera Installer and become a vital part of enhancing safety and surveillance for commercial and residential clients. OpVision, a division of Op6 (Lic.
C26264901
), provides mobile camera surveillance trailers for a number of commercial and residential sites in and around Midland, Texas. We are seeking technicians who can move trailers around when needed, make adjustments to trailers, service the trailers, and offer replacement or repair of camera systems on the trailers. Duties Install security camera systems, CCTV networks, sensors, alarms, and associated hardware using hand tools and power tools. Configure remote access software and network settings to ensure seamless system operation across various platforms. Read and interpret schematics, system design diagrams, and electrical wiring plans to accurately install low voltage security systems. Conduct site surveys to assess construction layouts, electrical infrastructure, and cabling pathways for optimal system placement. Test and troubleshoot security systems including IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), fire alarms, sensors, and telecommunication connections to guarantee functionality. Perform routine maintenance, updates, and repairs on existing security hardware and software components. Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs, provide system demonstrations, and assist in alarm system sales when appropriate. Qualifications 21+ years of age Proven experience as a service technician or installer in security or telecommunication fields - 2+ years of verifiable experience. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience related to low voltage wiring, cabling, and power tools use. Familiarity with computer networking concepts essential for configuring networked surveillance systems. Knowledge of CCTV cameras, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), fire alarm systems, and surveillance technology. Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and construction drawings accurately. Experience with remote access software for monitoring or troubleshooting security systems remotely. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues efficiently. Dependable personal vehicle (full-size truck or SUV preferred) with tow package and the ability to tow surveillance trailers between sites. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred; willingness to travel for field service appointments is required. Must have a current license through DPS-RSD as an alarm system and/or camera installer technician or able to quickly obtain the license.
Pay:
$21.00 - $30.00 per hour
