Responsibilities:
Inspects, tests and repairs Fire alarm systems Prepares accurate, detailed, and legible documents, such as work orders or inspection reports. Assures that all completed jobs meet customer requirements in accordance with job specifications and local codes. Explains details, such as the causes and consequences of false alarms, proper and efficient operation of systems to customers. Builds and maintains relationships with customers. Works in a safe manner at all times. Identifies up-sale opportunities and capitalizes on them. Works extended hours and/or weekends as needed. Willing and able to travel, limited to the State of Texas. Rare but may happen. Willing to work on other low voltage systems such as access control, IP cameras, security, gate operators, video entry systems etc Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid driver's license in good standing. Have a valid TX Fire Alarm License. Ability to obtain a
TDPS PSB
installer License. Physical Demands Work in small, confined spaces (crawl spaces, attics) Work from a ladder and manlift. Work in all types of weather. Work consistently during the day, standing, climbing, crawling, kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or lifting approximately 50 to 75 lbs. Must be able to wear work boots with steel toe, and other standard PPE such as hard hats, ear plugs, safety goggles. On occasion, dust masks may be required. Related work experience a plus but not required Fire alarm control panels
  • Firelite, Silent Knight, Potter AFC and IPA Access control systems
  • Chirp, Alarm.com, Linear Access base 2000/E3, Keyscan Aurora, PDK ethernet/wireless, Lenel S2, Brivo, Dormakaba Community, Comelit, Butterfly MX, Transcore RFID readers, All-O-Matic gate operators, Elite & Liftmaster gate operators Video Surveillance systems
  • Digital Watchdog, HikVision, Luma, Intrusion alarm systems
  • Qolsys, Alarm.com, 2GIG, DSC controllers with partitioned zones, glass break and motion detectors, zone partitioning, etc… Audio/Video Distribution Systems
  • RTI, Sonos, Russound, DirecTV Fiber optic cabling via fusion and mechanical splicing
