This role plays a critical part in maintaining the safety and security of personnel, assets, and facilities by ensuring all alarm and camera signals are handled promptly and in accordance with established protocols. This position serves as the first point of detection for potential security, safety, and operational incidents identified through CCTV and alarm system activity. The role is responsible for identifying, documenting, and escalating incidents to appropriate internal teams for response. Key Responsibilities Monitor alarm and camera systems using security platforms in real time throughout the day shift Serve as the first point of identification for potential incidents observed through CCTV or alarm activity Monitor intrusion, safety, and system-generated alarm notifications and respond according to established procedures Review live and recorded camera footage to verify potential incidents when applicable Identify unusual activity, safety concerns, or policy violations and escalate appropriately Communicate real-time incident information to internal security teams, facilities, and management during active events Relay information to designated contacts and support communication with external authorities when required by established escalation procedures Document all alarm/camera activity, incidents, communications, and resolutions accurately in the security management system Conduct routine system checks to verify security equipment is functioning properly Escalate unresolved or high-priority events to supervisors and relevant stakeholders Coordinate with Facilities and Security teams to address security or system-related issues Maintain up-to-date knowledge of alarm panel operations, codes, and bypass procedures Support audits and reviews of alarm logs for reporting and compliance purposes Assist in the training and onboarding of new team members on alarm and camera monitoring procedures Qualifications Familiarity with alarm management systems, access control platforms, and CCTV systems Strong attention to detail with the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure Ability to identify and accurately document incidents in real time Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external agencies Ability to work in a fast-paced, monitoring-focused environment for extended periods Ability to escalate incidents quickly and appropriately following defined protocols Strong computer skills (monitoring systems, email, reporting tools) Schedule Monday-Friday | Day Shift | Full-Time In-Office Role (Sugar Land, TX) Work Environment Real-time monitoring of CCTV and alarm systems High accountability for accurate observation and timely escalation Continuous coordination with Security, Facilities, and Management teams Structured escalation procedures with defined response pathways Fast-paced environment requiring sustained focus and attention to detail
