Position Description:
Install, inspect, and maintain fire alarm systems and other low voltage systems
- mass notification, and others.
Provide electrical services to all systems. Inspect, test, install, repair, and replace fire alarm systems and all related equipment. Maintain regular inspections, document activities, assist co-workers, and ensure tools and materials are available. Responsible to provide supervision and oversight for fire protection trade services and employees. Monitors the scheduling, completion and documentation of preventive and corrective maintenance. Tracks service orders, Routine/Recurring and preventive maintenance orders and provides guidance within contract requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform as a working lead Install, repair, and inspect smoke and fire alarm systems Monitor system tests and repair fire alarm wiring, panels, and additional equipment as needed Identify problems or defects in the fire systems and implement adjustments and repairs Inspect, repair, and replace smoke/heat detectors Stay up to date on appropriate diagnostic programs and equipment Ensure all fire systems and repair work is in accordance with relevant codes and requirements Update and maintain fire alarm testing documentation Conduct other activities related to the services and install of fire alarm systems
Required Qualifications and Experience:

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED), 2-4 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent in education and experience Maintain a current NICET Level II Certification in Fire Protection Engineering Technology (Fire Alarm System or Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems) or higher. Current CPR certification required Experience in O&M to include leading a work force that is responsible for O&M and repair of all facility systems, subsystems, and selected equipment typically found in a Base Operating Services contract. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Knowledge and technical experience with fire alarm systems Knowledge of current fire codes and standards
e., NFPA, UFC, IFC, ADA, TJC Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to pass a company drug screen and background check. Must possess a valid state driver's license and insurable driving record
