Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Fire Alarm Installation/Service Technician is responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial facilities. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (technical or trade school preferred) Minimum 2 years of experience installing and/or servicing fire alarm systems Working knowledge of
NFPA 72 , NEC
, and local fire codes Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing low-voltage systems Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
NICET Level I or II in Fire Alarm Systems a Plus Experience with Honeywell, Silent Knight, Notifier, Siemens, Edwards, Fire-Lite, or Simplex systems Familiarity with network-based fire alarm panels and devices Basic computer literacy for documentation, reporting, and programming OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, or in confined spaces Capable of standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods Willingness to work after-hours or on call as needed
