Job Description

CSCI is a Woman-Owned Small Business seeking an experienced, intricately motivated Cleared Security Escort/Construction Observer to support secure facility construction. The Cleared Security Escort/Construction Observer will uncleared personnel, monitor work in controlled areas, maintain positive control of tools/materials, and ensure all site activities comply with base and security procedures. The candidate will report to the Site Security Project Manager and coordinate closely with government representatives, contractors, and trades. This position is on-site, Monday-Friday in Springfield, VA. On occasion, the candidate might need to support after-hours or weekend coverage as mission requires (overtime is compensated). Responsibilities The Cleared Security Escort/Construction Observer primarily responsibilities include but not limited to: Escort and continuously monitor uncleared workers within restricted/controlled areas. Verify identification, control access, and enforce site/post entry/exit procedures. Maintain detailed activity logs (personnel, tools, materials, incidents). Monitor work for compliance with security requirements; immediately report deviations. Support inventories and end-of-shift accountability of tools and materials. Follow base safety rules and wear required PPE; stop work for unsafe/unauthorized actions. Communicate clearly via radio/phone with the SSPM, COR, and project leads. Protect sensitive information; uphold need-to-know and no-photography policies. Maintain a "ready-for-inspection" posture for construction areas, documentation, and facility conditions. Be responsive to changing priorities, operational needs, and customer requirements. Uphold CSCI's philosophy of being an Honest Broker and Trusted Partner. Support after-hours or weekend coverage as mission requires (overtime is compensated). Skills - Minimum of 1-2
Years Experience Required Qualifications:
US Citizenship is required. Active DoD Secret Security Clearance High School diploma. 1-2 years in security, military, law enforcement, construction oversight, or related escort roles. Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; lift/carry up to 35 lbs; work indoors/outdoors. Valid State-Issued ID or Driver's License, 18+ years of age. Successfully pass background and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance. Exposure to DoD or IC, or similarly controlled environments is a plus. Relevant military or government facilities/construction experience. Requirements - US Citizen /

Compensation Compensation at CSCI is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of CSCI's total compensation package.
