This position has a salary range of $35
  • 50 hourly depending on experience and held licenses.
Job Responsibilities Installation and programming of fire protection alarm systems for commercial applications including control panels, wiring, devices (smoke detectors, pull stations, horns/strobes), and associated components. Ensure systems are installed according to design plans, manufacturer specifications, and local/national codes (such as NFPA 72). Perform routine inspections and functional testing of fire alarm systems. This includes verifying that all devices activate properly, signals are transmitted correctly, and the system responds as intended during alarms or faults. Troubleshoot system issues, replace defective components, and perform preventative maintenance to keep systems reliable. They respond to service calls and emergency situations when systems are not functioning correctly. Document time worked as well as all paperwork relating to assigned tasks in a timely manner. Must prepare accurate and timely documentation for work performed, complete monthly vehicle reports, and maintain truck inventory to ensure proper response to customers' needs. Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures. Must communicate effectively
  • both verbally and in writing. Must ensure positive customer experience. Must have a strong work ethic. Must be detail oriented. Job Qualifications It is preferable to have a Journeyman's License but not necessary with a minimum 2 years of related experience preferably within the life safety industry, apprenticeship is the exception
  • will train.
Nicet Level 3 preferred Gamewell / FCI Certified is preferred Fire Alarm programming experience Valid driver's license (Real ID) High School degree or the equivalent Electronic Trade School training is a plus Must obtain and retain any licenses that are required by state and/or local codes. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background, and reference check.

Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, above ceilings, etc. Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs. Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with "on call availability" and must be able to travel on short notice.
