Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a highly skilled Fire Alarm Technician to support a leading engineering, and systems integration organization. The Fire Alarm Technician will be responsible for testing, inspection, service, and installation support of fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA standards and local codes. This is a great opportunity in the NOVA region. Responsibilities for the
Fire Alarm Technician:
Perform testing and inspection of fire alarm systems per NFPA standards and local code requirements, identifying deficiencies and compliance issues. Functionally test initiating devices, notification appliances, and all fire alarm system components. Diagnose system malfunctions and perform adjustments, repairs, or equipment replacements to restore compliance. Prepare accurate inspection, testing, and service documentation and communicate system performance to customers and account managers. Support fire alarm system installations, upgrades, pre‑testing, and final inspections based on drawings and submittals. Qualifications for the
Fire Alarm Technician:
3-10 years of experience, or less with technical school training. High School Diploma or GED required; NICET Level II certification required or must be obtained within 90 days. Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm systems with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Excellent attention to detail, customer service skills, and ability to perform effectively under pressure. Compensation for the

Salary Range:
$32.00-56.00 an hour
