Why You'll Love This Role:
As a Fire Alarm Installation Trainee, you'll leverage your Low Voltage electrician skills to learn the commercial alarm industry. From installation to programming, you'll make a real difference in safety by identifying, documenting and solving complex problems, plus have the opportunity to develop additional skills with ongoing learning and certifications.
What You'll Do:
Installation & Programming:
Install, maintain, repair, program and configure fire alarm systems and equipment at customer sites
Testing:
Test and inspect fire alarm systems, batteries and electrical wiring
Compliance:
Ensure work complies with relevant codes including NFPA standards
Documentation:
Complete inspection and correction reports and maintain required records
Customer Service:
Convey system operations to customers and respond to emergency service calls

What We're Looking For:
High School Diploma or GED (required) EL-06 License (required) 1+ years in fire alarm inspections, maintenance, and/or repairs (preferred) Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment, utility vaults (confined spaces), above ceilings, etc. Able to work a full-time yet flexible schedule Drug screening and background checks will only be conducted after a conditional job offer is made. We evaluate criminal history based on its relevance to the job duties. This is a Safety Sensitive position. All candidates must successfully pass a comprehensive pre-employment drug screening test, including testing for marijuana/THC/cannabis, regardless of state law or medical authorization, as a condition of employment. Valid driver's license with excellent driving record Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
