As a key leader in our technical operations, you will oversee complex fire alarm projects, mentor junior technicians, and ensure all systems meet rigorous safety standards and compliance requirements. Your expertise will help safeguard facilities through innovative system design, precise installation, and reliable service delivery. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a talented team while advancing your career in fire protection technology. Duties Lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems across diverse commercial and industrial sites, ensuring adherence to all relevant codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and local fire safety standards. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and system design documents to accurately execute project plans. Conduct construction inspections to verify proper installation practices, compliance with specifications, and quality control. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on fire alarm systems, sensors, low voltage wiring, and associated electrical components using hand tools and power tools. Oversee field service operations, providing technical guidance to technicians while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Collaborate with clients on alarm system sales and fire alarm sales initiatives by explaining system features, benefits, and upgrades. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or lead installer specializing in fire alarm systems with a strong background in electrical work and low voltage systems. Demonstrated knowledge of schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, sensors, alarm systems, and system design principles. Hands-on experience with construction inspection processes within the fire protection or building construction industry. Mechanical knowledge related to fire sprinkler fitting or similar systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with NEC regulations, construction codes, and safety standards relevant to fire alarm installations. Strong skills in blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, CAD software usage, and electrical troubleshooting. Previous experience in sales related to fire alarm or security systems is a plus but not required; a customer-focused approach is essential for success.
