We are looking for a motivated and reliable Backflow Technician to join our team on a part-time or 1099 contractor basis, with the potential for full-time employment as the company continues to grow. Responsibilities Perform annual backflow assembly testing Diagnose and complete backflow repairs Assist with backflow installations and replacements Complete required testing reports and documentation Communicate professionally with customers and property managers Maintain and organize company tools and equipment Assist with fire extinguisher inspections and fire sprinkler inspections as needed Qualifications Current Washington State Backflow Assembly Tester (BAT) certification required Experience with backflow testing, repairs, and installations preferred Ability to work independently and manage daily schedules Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license and clean driving record Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude Ability to lift and carry equipment and work outdoors in various weather conditions Compensation Competitive pay based on experience Flexible schedule Part-time or 1099 contractor position Opportunity for increased hours and full-time employment as the company grows About Midland Fire & Backflow Midland Fire & Backflow provides backflow testing, repairs, and installations, along with fire extinguisher inspections and fire sprinkler inspections.
