Job Description

We are a fire protection and life safety contractor delivering high-quality fire alarm and detection system solutions across commercial and industrial environments. Our teams work on complex, large-scale projects that require precision, technical depth, and a commitment to code compliance from fabrication through commissioning. Position Overview We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician with strong hands-on knowledge of fire alarm and VESDA systems. This is a technical, project-based role where you will be involved from pre-fabrication through final commissioning — programming, testing, troubleshooting, and conducting quality control inspections in the field. Notifier platform experience is preferred, and VESDA experience will set you apart. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and field crews to keep jobs moving and systems performing to code. Key Responsibilities Fabricate and assemble fire alarm and VESDA system components in preparation for installation Program, configure, and commission fire alarm systems, with a focus on Notifier platforms Perform testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of fire alarm and VESDA systems Conduct onsite quality control inspections to verify proper installation and system performance Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings Identify and resolve system issues at the wiring, device, and programming level Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to support timely project completion Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, test results, and system configurations Ensure compliance with NFPA codes, local regulations, and company safety standards Support pre-fabrication activities and assist with material preparation as needed Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience with fire alarm systems Experience with Notifier fire alarm systems Proficiency in system programming, testing, and commissioning Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes and fire alarm standards Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues independently Experience in commercial or industrial project environments Strong attention to detail and solid communication skills Preferred Qualifications NICET Level II certification or higher Experience with VESDA systems Background in data centers or large-scale commercial projects Benefits and Compensation Pay range: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and certifications Opportunities for overtime. 9 days in total of planned company paid days off due to the Holidays which is based upon the date of hire.
