Position:
Prepper We are looking for a Skilled and dedicated Painter Prepper Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for painting by sanding, cleaning, masking, and ensuring surfaces are smooth and ready for the final coat. Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately are crucial to our success
Responsibilities:
Surface Preparation:
Sand, clean, and smooth vehicle surfaces to ensure they are properly prepped for painting. This includes removing rust, dents, and old paint, and ensuring surfaces are even and free from imperfections.
Masking and Taping:
Apply masking tape, paper, or plastic to areas of the vehicle that should not be painted, ensuring precise lines and complete coverage for a clean paint job.
Primer Application:
Apply primers and sealers to vehicle surfaces as required, ensuring proper adhesion for topcoat layers.
Maintaining Tools and Equipment:
Clean and maintain all painting and prep equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and ready for use.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), ventilation systems, and handling of chemicals and solvents in accordance with industry standards.
Quality Control:
Inspect prepped surfaces and the final paint job to ensure it meets company standards for quality, ensuring flawless results. Collaboration with
Team Members:
Work closely with painters, body repair specialists, and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of each project. Attention to
Detail:
Demonstrate strong attention to detail to ensure all work is completed with precision, ensuring high-quality results for customers.
Time Management:
Efficiently manage time to ensure that vehicle prep work and painting are completed within established time frames while maintaining high standards of quality.
