Body Tech/Body Helper Cockrell's Collision Mobile, AL Job Details Full-time $22 - $28 an hour 13 hours ago Benefits On-the-job training Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description Cockrell's Collision is looking for a motivated Body Tech / Body Helper to join our growing collision repair team in Mobile, Alabama . This is a commission-based position ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to grow in the collision repair industry, and takes pride in quality repairs and teamwork. Position Overview The Body Tech / Body Helper supports our body technicians by assisting with vehicle teardown, prep, repair support, and reassembly. This role helps keep repairs moving efficiently while developing the skills needed to grow into a full Body Technician. Key Responsibilities Assist with vehicle disassembly and reassembly. Remove and reinstall bumpers, trim, lights, panels, and bolt-on parts. Perform sanding, grinding, and surface prep. Help with basic body work under the direction of a lead technician. Ensure proper fit, alignment, and gap consistency during reassembly. Organize and label parts during teardown. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Move vehicles throughout the repair process as needed. Follow OEM repair procedures and shop processes. Qualifications Previous auto body or mechanical experience preferred (but not required). Comfortable using hand and power tools. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Willingness to learn and take direction. Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-focused environment. Valid driver's license required. Pay & Benefits Commission-based pay Steady workload.
