Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Autobody and Paint Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert auto body repair and precise painting techniques. Your expertise will ensure that each vehicle not only looks great but also meets safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and sheet metal fabrication using hand tools, power tools, MIG welding, and soldering techniques. Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and masking to ensure a smooth finish. Apply paint using airless spray guns or other painting methods, ensuring color matching and flawless finishes. Utilize automotive repair knowledge to diagnose issues, perform vehicle maintenance, and restore vehicles to factory specifications. Handle heavy lifting tasks safely when moving or positioning vehicle parts or entire vehicles during repairs. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair estimates, progress updates, and completion timelines. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair and painting is highly preferred. Skilled in MIG welding, fabrication, sheet metal work, and auto restoration projects. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and auto body equipment. Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service practices is a plus. Experience working with auto glass installation, auto painting (including airless paint spraying), and welding techniques such as soldering is desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision in detailed work. Knowledge of automotive repair processes including vehicle maintenance, assembly, detailing, and auto glass repairs enhances your candidacy.
