Since 1985, Covina Auto Body has provided the city of Covina and its neighboring communities with high quality collision repairs. A collision repair estimator appraises & accurately assesses vehicle damage to determine the cost of repair for insurance claim settlements. This includes, but is not limited to, inspecting and testing automobiles by using mechanical testing devices, questioning customers about the vehicle's performance, or by visual inspection of the vehicle, writing and submitting estimate to the appropriate insurance company.

KEY CONTRIBUTIONS

An extensive assessment of the vehicle damage must be made to create a complete and accurate estimate and repair plan, along with front-office clerical and customer service representative tasks. Answer phone calls as needed/prepare repair invoicing Taking photos of check-in, check-out cars Prepare estimates in accordance with Insurance partner and company guidelines, for DRP and Non-DRP work. Update customers on the repair process and maintaining the highest level of customer service through all phases of the collision repair process. Makes decisions regarding repair processing as needed and coordinates the timing of sublet work to keep overall cycle time as low as possible. Works closely with management to create the daily production plan including the movement of vehicles between departments & adjusts the plan as needed throughout the day. Quality inspections of vehicles post-repairs Maintain and execute a timely schedule before, during, and after completions of repairs.

REQUIREMENTS

Excellent communication skills and commitment to world class customer service! I-CAR certification recommended. Ability to work very well with customers, co-workers, and insurance companies. Knowledge and proficiency operating CCC One and/or Mitchell estimating systems preferred. Able to make independent decisions on repair process, parts and timing. Spanish speaker preferred.
