In this vital role, you will assess vehicle damage accurately, prepare detailed repair estimates, and collaborate closely with technicians and customers to ensure a seamless service experience. Your mechanical knowledge and auto estimating skills will be essential in delivering top-quality repairs while maximizing efficiency and profitability. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess extent of repairs needed, including auto body repair, paintwork, and mechanical components Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software and tools Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair procedures, costs, and timelines to ensure transparency and satisfaction Collaborate with service technicians and mechanics to coordinate repairs involving transmissions, suspensions, brakes, alignments, shocks & struts, tire services, diesel engines, air brakes, and oil changes Upsell additional services such as vehicle maintenance packages, tire replacements, or diagnostic assessments to enhance customer value and dealership revenue Handle all aspects of service writing including documentation of work orders, parts ordering, and invoicing while maintaining meticulous records Assist in managing parts inventory and liaising with suppliers to ensure timely availability of necessary components Experience Proven dealership experience in auto body estimating or automotive service management is highly preferred Strong background in automotive diagnostics combined with mechanic experience across various systems such as transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and diesel engines Familiarity with automotive repair procedures including oil changes, alignments, tire services, shocks & struts replacement, brake repairs, and air brake systems Demonstrated ability in auto estimating software and service writing with a focus on accuracy and efficiency Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Knowledge of upselling techniques within an automotive setting to promote additional services effectively Experience handling cash transactions or parts sales is a plus Join us if you're passionate about automotive repair and eager to deliver exceptional customer experiences!
