Auto Body Painter Classic Graphics - 3.8 Newark, CA Job Details Full-time $22.82 - $25.00 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Qualifications Teamwork Interpersonal skills Driver's License Working in the automotive repair industry Attention to detail Sanding Full Job Description We are looking for an experienced Automotive Body Shop Painter who takes pride in producing high-quality work and is ready to step into a leadership role. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to assist in all areas of the body shop to help the team succeed.
Responsibilities:
Prepare vehicles for paint, including sanding, priming, masking, and final cleaning. Mix and apply automotive paints and finishes to manufacturer and customer specifications. Perform body repairs, including filler work, panel preparation, and minor bodywork as needed. Ensure all painted surfaces meet quality standards before delivery. Assist with disassembly and reassembly when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures. Lead by example, support team members, and help maintain efficient shop operations. Be flexible and willing to assist in other shop duties as business needs require.
Qualifications:
Previous automotive body shop painting experience required. Knowledge of prep work, masking, color matching, and refinishing techniques. Experience with bodywork and repair procedures is highly preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and work well with others. Reliable, responsible, and able to manage time effectively. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record preferred.
