• Full-time Royal Road Collision Center is looking for a reliable and motivated Auto Body Paint Prepper / Detailer / Buffer to join our collision repair and paint team.

We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in an auto body shop who can assist with vehicle preparation, masking, teardown, detailing, color sanding, and buffing. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality work, pays attention to detail, and can work in a fast-paced collision repair environment. Pay Range $18.00

00 per hour Schedule Full-time available Monday to Friday Responsibilities Prepare vehicles and panels for paint work, including sanding, cleaning, taping, and masking. Perform color sanding and buffing on freshly painted panels to help achieve a clean, high-quality finish. Detail vehicles before delivery, including interior and exterior cleaning. Assist with vehicle teardown and reassembly as needed. Remove and install small parts, trims, moldings, bumpers, headlights, taillights, and other components as directed. Help painters and body technicians with daily production needs. Keep work area clean, organized, and safe. Inspect work for imperfections such as dirt, overspray, orange peel, scratches, swirl marks, or missed areas. Follow shop procedures and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in an auto body shop, collision center, paint shop, or detailing/buffing position. Experience with sanding, masking, color sanding, buffing, and detailing. Basic knowledge of vehicle disassembly and reassembly. Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team. Must be able to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail. Must be able to work around vehicles, tools, dust, paint materials, and shop equipment. Valid driver's license preferred. Preferred Skills Experience working in a collision repair shop. Experience assisting painters or body technicians. Experience using buffers, polishers, sanders, masking paper, tape, and basic hand tools. Ability to identify paint imperfections and correct them through sanding and buffing. Ability to help move vehicles safely around the shop.
