Auto Body Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition with precision and care. Your expertise will help ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality auto body repairs, including collision damage repair, paintwork, and refinishing. Duties Perform comprehensive auto body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural straightening using advanced tools and techniques. Conduct auto painting and refinishing using airless paint spraying equipment to achieve a flawless finish. Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding techniques to repair sheet metal and assemble vehicle components securely. Use hand tools, power tools, fabricating equipment, and auto glass installation tools to complete repairs efficiently and accurately. Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify damages, assess repair needs, and prepare detailed auto estimating reports for customer approval. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting, welding, and use of hazardous materials. Assist with auto restoration projects by restoring vintage or damaged vehicles to their original condition with attention to detail. Collaborate with team members on vehicle assembly, detailing, and final quality checks before returning vehicles to customers. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or professional auto body repair background is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of auto body repair techniques, including sheet metal work, auto painting, auto glass replacement, and auto restoration. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication, and the use of various hand tools and power tools required for automotive repairs. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and automotive repair processes. Experience with auto estimating software is a plus; excellent customer service skills are essential for client interactions. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with airless paint spraying systems and auto painting techniques is desirable.
