In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for painting by performing thorough surface cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming to ensure a flawless finish. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality auto body repairs and restorations that meet customer expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in auto body repair, auto painting, and vehicle maintenance within a fast-paced dealership environment. Responsibilities Carefully clean and sand vehicle surfaces to remove dirt, rust, and old paint, ensuring optimal adhesion for new paint layers Mask off areas that should not be painted using tape, paper, or plastic sheeting to protect trim, glass, and other components Mix and apply primer coats with precision to create a smooth foundation for subsequent paint layers Use hand tools and power tools such as sanders, grinders, and airless paint sprayers to prepare surfaces efficiently and accurately Assist with auto body repair tasks including minor dent removal and auto restoration projects as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times Collaborate with the painting team to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards Experience Previous dealership experience or background in auto body repair highly preferred Hands-on experience with welding, auto painting, buffing, and detailing techniques Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto restoration processes Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment Familiarity with auto glass replacement and auto estimating procedures is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a physically demanding environment Strong customer service skills with an understanding of automotive repair processes Mechanic experience or background in auto restoration is advantageous Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional vehicle repairs!
