Full-time General Description:
The classroom aide is under the direct supervision of the Auto Collision instructor and administration. The classroom aide is responsible for providing instructional, safety, and daily activity support to the students while under the direction of the certified instructor.

Qualifications:
Experience and/or education in a related auto field is required. Ability to read, write and communicate in a professional manner, with students, staff, parents and advisory board members. Experience working with students and students with special needs preferred. Must meet all qualifications for the appropriate license through the Illinois State Board of Education. Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and delivery of the curriculum when the instructor is carrying out lectures and advising activities and projects. This will include leading group critiques, demonstrations of a particular skill and overseeing students in a lab environment. Assist in the supervision and safety of the students. Assist in implementation of the classroom behavior management plan and procedures established by the instructor. Participate in staff meetings, training programs and in-service sessions as required. Establish and maintain effective relationships with students, staff and advisory board members (professionals and educators in the field of design) Responsible for the ordering of equipment/materials/supplies for the classroom(s). Provide ongoing care for classroom equipment and materials. Assist in clerical work including but not limited to photocopying, sorting and filing, inputting data, answering phone calls and taking attendance. Assist in giving critical and effective feedback and direction to students while they work on classroom assignments and projects. This includes skill check offs for both program areas.
