Auto Body Technician Join a Growing Manufacturer - Build Emergency Vehicles That Matter Medix Specialty Vehicles is looking for a Body Work Technician / Automotive Body Technician to join our production team. In this role, you'll perform automotive body work, surface preparation, and fiberglass repair on ambulances and emergency vehicles before they move to paint. If you have experience in auto body repair, collision repair, fiberglass work, or manufacturing , this is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a stable, team-oriented environment. What You'll Do As an Auto Body Technician , you will: Perform automotive body work on ambulance units prior to paint Sand, grind, and prep surfaces for finishing, etc. Apply and shape body filler (Bondo) to repair imperfections Complete fiberglass repair and finishing as needed Inspect units after lamination to ensure quality standards are met Align panels and correct surface defects Work closely with paint and production teams to meet deadlines Maintain a clean and safe work environment What We're Looking For 1+ year of experience in auto body repair, collision repair, or body work Experience with sanding, grinding, and body filler application Familiarity with fiberglass and/or aluminum materials preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented What We Offer Competitive hourly pay + production bonus Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off + holidays Opportunities for advancement Stable, growing company with consistent work About Medix Specialty Vehicles Medix Specialty Vehicles is a successful and growing company that is a leading manufacturer of emergency vehicles to the ambulance industry through innovation and quality.
