Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition by repairing, replacing, and refinishing damaged body parts. Your expertise will ensure that every vehicle leaving our shop meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and appearance. This position offers an exciting opportunity for those passionate about automotive repair and auto restoration, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and craftsmanship. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and collision damage restoration using a variety of hand tools and power tools. Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding techniques to repair sheet metal and structural components. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using sheet metal fabrication skills to meet specific repair needs. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as mechanical repairs, auto restoration projects, and assembly work to ensure vehicles are fully functional and visually appealing. Skills Extensive background in auto body repair is highly preferred. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication, and the use of various hand tools and power tools. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform vehicle maintenance and automotive repair tasks efficiently. Knowledge of auto glass replacement procedures and auto estimating processes. Ability to lift heavy objects safely during repairs or assembly tasks; physically fit for heavy lifting requirements. Clear understanding of auto restoration processes. Familiarity with sheet metal work, auto body alignment, detailing, and auto painting standards. Experience with automotive repair systems and general mechanic experience is a plus.
