Your primary responsibilities will be to prepare vehicles for paint and to wet sand and polish vehicles. Will work closely with the Lead Painter to make sure vehicles are flowing through the paint department efficiently.
Job Description:
Prepare Vehicles for Paint. Wet Sanding and Polishing. Follow and maintain quality standards. Maintain and wear all required safety and health personal equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and other hazardous materials. Report any deviations to management. Cooperate and assist other personnel in the painting and prepping of vehicles. Understand, keep abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the company's values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors.
Requirements:
Previous experience. Strong attention to detail and color. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver license, a good driving record, and the ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle.
  • Ability to work outdoors and be physically active for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to keep up with fast paced environment.
  • Overtime required depending on workload.
