Job Description
Job Overview Are you passionate about automotive repair and eager to kick-start your career in the body shop industry? As a Body Shop Apprentice, you'll embark on an exciting journey to develop your skills in vehicle restoration, auto body repair, and collision work. This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on experience working alongside seasoned professionals, learning essential techniques such as auto painting, welding, sheet metal work, and vehicle maintenance. If you're motivated, detail-oriented, and ready to grow your expertise in a dynamic environment, this opportunity is perfect for you! Responsibilities Assist in repairing and restoring vehicles by performing basic auto body repairs under supervision Learn to use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for dent removal, sanding, and surface preparation Support the team with auto painting tasks including airless paint spraying and finishing touches Gain experience in welding techniques such as MIG welding and soldering to join sheet metal components Help with vehicle disassembly and assembly processes while maintaining safety standards Contribute to auto glass replacement and auto restoration projects with attention to detail Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored Requirements Previous dealership experience or exposure to automotive repair is a plus but not required Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools Willingness to learn welding techniques including MIG welding and soldering Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on vehicles for extended periods Basic understanding of auto body repair, sheet metal work, and vehicle maintenance Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members Enthusiasm for auto painting, auto estimating, auto restoration, and general automotive repair processes High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or mechanic experience is advantageous Join us as a Body Shop Apprentice and accelerate your career in the automotive industry!
