Auto Body Prepper

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Auto Body Prepper to join our professional team. This role involves preparing vehicles for repair and restoration, ensuring high-quality finishes and seamless repairs. The ideal candidate will have experience in auto body work, vehicle maintenance, and related skills, with a strong focus on attention to detail and safety standards. Responsibilities Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming using hand tools and power tools Perform surface cleaning and minor repairs to ensure optimal paint adhesion Use airless paint spraying equipment and buffing tools to achieve smooth finishes Assist with auto body repair tasks such as dent removal, panel alignment, and auto glass replacement Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency Support vehicle detailing and finishing processes to meet quality standards Collaborate with technicians on auto restoration projects and vehicle maintenance tasks Operate welding equipment when necessary for structural repairs or modifications Requirements Previous dealership experience or background in auto body repair preferred Knowledge of auto painting techniques, including airless spray systems and buffing methods Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and auto glass replacement techniques Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto restoration processes Experience with auto estimating and customer service is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during various repair tasks Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship Prior experience with auto welding, auto painting, detailing, or mechanic work is advantageous Must be able to work safely with all equipment and adhere to safety protocols
