Job Summary Join our dynamic auto body repair team as an Auto Painter Helper/Body Repair associate! In this energetic role, you will assist skilled technicians in restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Your hands-on support will be vital in preparing vehicles for painting, performing minor repairs, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Responsibilities Assist auto body technicians with vehicle repairs, including sanding, buffing, and minor dent removal Prepare vehicles for painting by masking, sanding, and cleaning surfaces using hand tools and power tools Support the application of auto paint using airless paint spraying equipment and other finishing techniques Perform detailing tasks such as polishing, buffing, and cleaning vehicles to ensure a high-quality finish Handle heavy lifting of vehicle parts and equipment safely and efficiently Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of waste properly, and ensuring safety protocols are followed Support auto glass replacement and repair tasks as needed under supervision Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks to keep cars in optimal condition during the repair process Qualifications Dealership experience or prior auto body repair background is highly desirable Basic welding skills and mechanical knowledge are a plus Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and auto painting equipment such as airless sprayers Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, auto restoration, and detailing techniques Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients Auto estimating or mechanic experience is advantageous but not required Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the automotive repair industry Embark on a rewarding career where your skills help bring vehicles back to life!
