About Us:
We are a premier auto body repair shop committed to delivering high-quality services to our customers. Our team of skilled technicians is dedicated to restoring vehicles to their original condition with precision and care. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Auto Body Shop Technician to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
The Auto Body Shop Technician is responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, and attention to detail . The ideal candidate will have 5 years or more experience in collision repair, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Damage Assessment:
Inspect and assess vehicle damage to determine the extent of repairs needed.
Repair Planning:
Develop a detailed plan for repairs, including parts and materials required.
Body Repair:
Perform all phases of auto body repair work, including metal work, frame straightening, welding, and alignment.
Parts Replacement:
Remove and replace damaged parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and panels.
Quality Control:
Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all repairs meet industry standards and customer expectations.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in auto body repair. Proficient in using auto body repair tools and equipment, including welding machines, riveters, and frame straightening machines. Strong understanding of vehicle construction and repair techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair estimates. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. ASE certification in collision repair is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching. Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.
