Job Description
Auto Body Paint Technician Job Summary We are seeking a skilled, energetic, and detail-oriented Auto Body Paint Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert painting, refinishing, and detailing techniques. Your craftsmanship will play a key role in ensuring every vehicle leaves our shop looking flawless while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about auto body repair, painting, and vehicle restoration to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Work Location Requirement Candidates must be willing to travel between our three locations in Denville, Livingston, and Boonton, NJ . Key Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, grinding, and cleaning to ensure proper paint adhesion Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and touch-up paint using spray equipment and hand tools Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel alignment, and welding Buff and polish painted surfaces to achieve a high-quality, glossy finish Complete auto glass repairs and replacements as needed Maintain accurate records of repairs for estimating and customer documentation Collaborate with team members to ensure timely, high-quality work while following safety standards Qualifications & Requirements Proven experience in auto body repair and/or automotive painting (dealership experience preferred) Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use power tools, hand tools, and paint equipment Welding experience and knowledge of vehicle repair procedures Familiarity with auto glass installation, detailing, and buffing techniques Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift heavy objects safely Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Excellent teamwork and customer service skills Experience with estimating software and restoration processes is a plus Mechanical or general automotive repair background is highly desirable
