Auto Body Technician

Status Auto Rejuvenation Center is a premium detailing and vehicle restoration center serving the Central New Jersey area. We specialize in high-end, performance, and everyday vehicles with a reputation for meticulous work, modern techniques, and exceptional customer service. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a skilled and motivated Auto Body & Detailing Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with vehicles hands-on and has experience in both detailing and light automotive body work . This is not a full collision repair role — we focus on light body repairs and Paint, panel work, cosmetic fixes, and vehicle reconditioning , along with professional detailing services. Vehicle Detailing Perform professional interior and exterior vehicle detailing Safely wash, polish, and protect vehicle paint Clean wheels, tires, trim, and glass Interior vacuuming, shampooing, steam cleaning, and conditioning Apply protective products and coatings Maintain detailing equipment and supplies Light Auto Body & Repair Work Remove and reinstall bumpers, trim pieces, and body panels Perform minor cosmetic body repairs (small dents, scratches, and panel imperfections) Assist with basic welding or fabrication when needed Sanding, prepping, and finishing minor damaged areas Help prepare vehicles for refinishing or cosmetic repair including paint Ensure all work meets company quality standards Shop Operations Inspect vehicles before and after service Maintain a clean and organized workspace Move and park vehicles safely Assist with shop workflow and service preparation Requirements Experience in automotive detailing preferred Must have experience with basic auto body work, panel removal, or light fabrication/welding is a plus Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working with various vehicle types including luxury, performance, trucks, and daily drivers Ability to meet physical demands (standing, bending, lifting) What You'll Work On At Status Auto Detailing, we regularly work on: Luxury vehicles Performance cars Trucks and off-road vehicles Daily drivers needing professional reconditioning You may find yourself detailing a Ferrari one day and restoring a truck's underbody the next.
